Knapheide unveiled America’s Work Truck™, a new national position introduced during Work Truck Week 2026. The position is designed to define the modern work truck category, elevate the skilled trades and reinforce Knapheide’s role in the future of American work.
Founded in 1848, Knapheide is the nation’s leading manufacturer and upfitter of work truck bodies and equipment solutions. Partnering with over 250 distributor partners across America, more work trucks on U.S. roads carry the Knapheide name than any other brand. As demand grows across construction, utilities, maintenance and infrastructure-related industries, many workers and fleet leaders still lack awareness of the safety, efficiency and productivity advantages built into today’s work truck solutions.
“This is a meaningful moment for our industry and for the people who rely on work trucks every day,” said Bo Knapheide, President & CEO of Knapheide. “For 178 years, our mission has stayed the same: build tools that help America work. America’s Work Truck honors that legacy while clarifying what the modern work truck can — and should — be for today’s workforce.”
As industries tied to essential services continue to expand nationwide, Knapheide is scaling its capacity, technologies and national footprint to meet accelerating demand. The America’s Work Truck position reflects both that growth and a renewed national appreciation for skilled trades. It arrives as the country approaches its 250th anniversary and Knapheide nears nearly two centuries
of family ownership.
“Workers know trucks but not always how a truck can be built to work the way they do,” said Mandar Dighe, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Knapheide. “No one has told that story at national scale before. America’s Work Truck is a clear signal for the category and a promise of clarity for customers. It defines who we are, who we’ve always been and how we support the people behind the work.”
Introduced at the Work Truck Week 2026 as the first activation of a broader campaign, America’s Work Truck positions Knapheide not just as a product leader, but as a category-defining voice committed to helping customers better understand the role work truck equipment plays in safety, efficiency and long-term performance.
The position also reinforces the values that have guided Knapheide since its founding: craftsmanship, reliability, service and a belief in doing the job the right way. From small independent contractors to large national fleets, Knapheide solutions support technicians, plumbers, electricians, contractors, utility crews, municipalities and fleet teams across all 50 states.
“Our story is deeply tied to America’s story,” Bo Knapheide added. “We’ve built alongside generations of workers through economic cycles and industry change. America’s Work Truck is our way of honoring the past while preparing for the next era of American work.”
Beginning April 1, Knapheide will introduce America’s Work Truck across industry, business and cultural platforms, building awareness and expanding understanding of the modern work truck category throughout 2026 and beyond.
